Terrain Advocate Support

As a Metabolic Regen Certified Terrain Advocate, I support people following the Metabolic Approach to Cancer/Health in implementing the recommendations from their MATC doctors through lifestyle and behavioral changes.

Together we make your metabolic + holistic health journey less overwhelming.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF AN ADVOCATE?

As an advocate, consider me a connector and organizer alongside you, at the center of your care team. I help you translate the recommendations from your doctors and care team into actionable, sustainable changes in your life. Your doctor will be the one interpreting your test results and making recommendations and prescriptions, and I am here to make sure you understand the why and how behind their recommendations. I am fully trained in all of the MATC tools which gives me the full context of the recommendations to implement, and ensures that our work together is harmonious with your doctor’s vision. Enlisting my support means maximizing your doctor’s care plan and ensuring you have space for 1:1 support. It’s easy to get swept away in the current of appointments, tests, and treatments, so our time together is meant to feel like a reprieve rather than one more check on the to-do list.

Everyone’s wellness journey looks completely different. It’s important to have support that’s tailored to your life, your personality, and the way you move through the world. Many of the recommended protocols work in synergy with others, so it’s common to get a laundry list of changes to make all at once. I’ve been there! I know how overwhelming it can feel. Together, we make a game plan for how you can implement the change in a way that is sustainable and realistic for you.

With 10+ years as a professional home + digital organizer, 5+ years experience as a life coach, and 6+ as a young adult cancer survivor, I am uniquely positioned to help you navigate the impactful, but often overwhelming changes the Metabolic Approach recommends. Our world is not built with holistic, metabolic health at the forefront, so it takes real courage and effort to go against the grain and seek true wellness. I’m here so you don’t have to do that alone.

“Listen—are you breathing just a little, and calling it a life?”

— Mary Oliver

Are you ready to get started?

Congrats on taking agency and action towards your wellness goals. Even if a diagnosis feels like it forced your hand, know that it still takes courage and fortitude to choose to move forward. Together, we can make sure you’re getting the most out of your care team and their recommendations for you.

Each person’s needs are so different, there’s no one way to work together. For some, a session here and there is just enough touch points to keep everything humming along smoothly, and for others, it’s helpful to have regularly scheduled sessions for accountability and support. Maybe you want support for two weeks, or maybe it’s throughout the year. Let’s talk about what support works best for you.

Sessions are 60-minutes long, held on Zoom, and you have email access to me between sessions.

Let’s chat to see if we’re a good fit!

Pricing: Sessions are billed at $250/hr, and unfortunately insurance does not yet recognize advocate support as reimbursable. Packages are available for 3 & 6 sessions at a discount ($700 for 3, $1,350 for 6).

FAQs

I don’t have a Metabolic Approach to Cancer (MATC) doctor yet, can you help me find one?

The Metabolic Regen website has a directory of MATC trained doctors, and you can filter by cancer type, location, and more.

How is an advocate different from a MATC doctor?

As an advocate, you can think of me like the organizer and connector of your care. With your permission, I am able to coordinate with your doctor to make sure that the care they provide is not only understandable, but implementable in a way that works for your life. Although I’m trained to understand lab results, genetic testing, and the whole arsenal of MATC tools, your doctor is the one analyzing and interpreting the information and making prescriptions and recommendations. My training allows me to best understand the intentions of the doctor’s recommendations and help clarify any questions you may have about the why and the how. I’m here to support you in lifestyle and behavioral changes that support your doctor’s care plan.

Are your sessions in-person or virtual?

We meet on Zoom, so you can be anywhere in the world!

What is your background?

I have had an incredibly diverse professional background, full of continued learning and many a certification. You can find out more about me on the About page. As a papillary thyroid carcinoma survivor myself, I understand what it’s like to stare at your own health and mortality. Choosing true wellness takes courage, and I’m really excited for you to begin, or continue, your own journey.

How does this differ from your Holistic Health Coaching?

As a Terrain Advocate, my goal is to amplify the recommendations of your care team, and help you to implement lifestyle and behavioral changes according to the Metabolic Approach to Cancer. In my Holistic Health Coaching, we zoom out away from a specific protocol lens, and clients aren’t necessarily working actively with a doctor or practitioner (read: self-motivated changes). We dive deep into your personality, identify your strengths via CliftonStrengths, incorporate mindfulness and meditation, and other modalities to support your personal transformation in mind, body, and soul. My Holistic Health Coaching is focused on holistic decluttering I call Intentionalism, which asks you to let go of what’s not serving you in every aspect of your life. Together we explore the identity changes that come with health changes, and implement behavioral and lifestyle changes that you feel eager to change, rather than implementing a plan set forth by a doctor.
